Hi fam, Justin Novak here, your favorite AI guy.

In this edition we’re going to cover:

Let’s dive in!

🚨 Hugging Face (Acquired for $12.9B by NVIDIA) Launches Microduck Robot

Just days after being acquired by Nvidia for $12.9B, Hugging Face in collaboration with Pollen Robotics launches a tiny biped robot you can teach tricks, roller skate, play soccer, & train to do anything you can imagine.

Am I crazy to want one?

Trust me, watch the promo video here, it will make your day…

👾 DHH Launches Omarchy

Omarchy is a Linux setup built by DHH, the guy behind Ruby on Rails and Basecamp. He spent roughly 3,000 hours making the computer he actually wanted after leaving the Mac, then gave it away for free.

Last week eight people put $1 million each into a foundation to back it: the CEOs of Shopify, Stripe, Dell and Cloudflare, Block's co-founder, Oculus's co-founder, Jason Fried, Dropbox’s co-founder, the creator of OpenCLaw, and DHH himself.

Why you should care?

Your old laptop sitting in your closet collecting dust can now be put to use & is a great environment to run agents.

The 30 second video below will give you a glimpse of what’s possible.

🤖 Grok Bot

xAI put this into beta on August 11 & we’re loving it.

Each "bot" gets its own computer in the cloud, with a browser, a filesystem, and your logins. It works through software the way a person does, by looking at the screen and clicking, so it does not need a special integration to use your CRM or your ad platform.

It keeps working after you shut your laptop, and it comes back when it needs your approval or when the job is done.

It’s a nice alternative to OpenClaw or Hermes for you to explore but I’ll warn you it isn’t cheap.

❓ Are you using Grok Bot? Reply to this email and let me know. Would love to hear what you think.

💸 AI CRM: GoHighLevel (Sponsored)

I have run my businesses on GoHighLevel for about 10 years, which is the only reason I promote them as a sponsor.

It is the CRM underneath our pipelines, follow-up, and booking. On Episode 004 I queried a sales pipeline by voice, and got the answer straight out of the CRM on camera.

I genuinely don’t know where I would be without GoHighLevel. Shout out to the co-founders Shaun and Robin.

☠️ OpenAI Terminates Partnership with Cursor

OpenAI is ending its partnership with Cursor after SpaceX bought the company. If you use Cursor with an OpenAI model, you have until November 12. After that, you need a new setup. Either a new IDE, or a new model under the hood.

Staying in Cursor? Switch to Grok 4.5, Claude, or Gemini. All of them are one dropdown away. Staying with OpenAI? Move to Codex CLI, VS Code, or GitHub Copilot.

On August 19th we ran Session 009. We had no agenda - just questions from the Zoom room and the stream, answered live for an hour. Here’s three highlights worth knowing from the session:

Reddit fell off a cliff inside ChatGPT.

I pulled a chart up on screen showing Reddit citations in ChatGPT collapsing on August 14, after Reddit had been the number one cited source. Companies were paying agencies to farm those citations. That channel closed in a day. Keep investing in SEO, and treat marketing the way you would treat money: diversified. You would not put your whole net worth in one coin. Do not put your whole pipeline on one platform.

"How do I protect my idea?" Jean has carried an app idea for 10 years and was worried someone would take it. All three of us landed in the same place: the idea is not the moat, the execution is. Ian's version came from a friend who spent $100,000 on a UCLA business degree and summed the whole thing up in one sentence: ideas are a dime a dozen, execution matters.

"Agents seem like fluff." Best question of the night. You need to be intentional in what you build. Start by building something the replace a tedious task you despise doing every day or week. Ian’s OpenClaws work for him 24/7/365 while he sleeps. Alec helps business owners build agents every week to operationalize their business. Be intentional folks.
